Did you know buying this bag can help save a life? It can also prevent a sweet young family from the tragedy of burying their newborn baby. Can you imagine? It is heartbreaking.
Noah Seiler, Lucas’ cousin, was born May 3, 2021, and died a few hours later due to anencephaly. Anencephaly is a rare disease causing the skull of the brain to not close due to a neural tube defect in the first month of conception. (Learn more in the description below.)
In honor of Noah, Lucas John Foundation is hosting a fundraiser to help raise awareness for this horrific disease. We are offering this Weekender Bag named after him.
Our family is mourning Noah, but we also want to honor his memory and raise awareness.
One of the preventative tools for Anencephaly is the need for folic acid and or folate if you have the MTHFR gene. We would like to raise money for genetic testing for those of childbearing age to have access to the MTHFR test before getting pregnant.
This weekender bag is the perfect bag to pack for a short getaway. It is larger than a tote and will hold 3-4 days of travel. All of our charity bags are upcycled from retired military tents keeping the circular repurposed use of items that would normally be thrown out. The quality is amazing and it is our absolute favorite bag! If you love our Noah bag be sure to check out our other bags and upcoming auctions honoring other children with rare diagnoses.
