Cheated on your Diet?

It happens to the best of us.  We set out with great intentions to not succumb to the pumkin pie and fattening carbs of the holiday meal.  What happens if we cheat and we are on VLCD.  I wanted to give you some tips to detoxify and get back on track.  According to Dr. Simeons if you cheat you will have a 3 day plateau with no weight loss and possible gain.  Expect this and don’t be disappointed if it takes 4 days to get yourself back on track.

Here are a few tips to get you back on track:

1.  Immediately restart your 500 calorie diet and follow the strict protocol in Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches

2.  Make sure you are getting at least 2 liters of water a day.

3.  Try using detox tips on the tips page. click here

4.  Stress can hinder your weight loss so relax and get plenty of rest.

5.  Reread Pounds and Inches click the link to the right and there is a section on cheating and getting back on track.   Here are the food choices to get you back to losing those pounds and inches and keep you from crying at the scale!

Breakfast:
Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin or other sweeteners may be used.
Lunch:
1. 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The chicken must be removed from the bird.
2. One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
3. One bread stick (grissini) or one Melba toast.
4. An apple or an orange or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.
Dinner :
The same four choices as lunch.

    You can do egg whites and 1/2 fruit in the mornings if you need breakfast

    Are the foods spacific for a reason .. I buckled yesterday and today and cheated and now my body is bloated like crazy .. how do i get back on .. i want to win this

      yes get back on protocol- your body will detox the cheat out in a few days

    I cheated today but only had a tiny sliver of carbs. I go to the gym regularly, would it still take about 3 days to detox?

    I’m on my fourth week. I notice on this page it says to have 100 grams of protein per meal. The P2 cookbook has 200 grams per meal. I have been up and down with my weight for 2 weeks now ( I’m on my 4 week) is that why I’ve stalled? Why is it doubled in the P2guide?

    I am doing the Omni drops, which I believe is similar. I cannot find any info on what to do through them about “the day after” I actually posted on their “secret website” and they erased my question.. I thought the forums were to be to help and support – Whatever??? Anyway, been doing diet, drops, supplements and correct amount of food – R1P2D34 – last night we celebrated and I drank a couple of vodkas, which in turn, made me not focus on late night binge. I at 4, yes 4 cinnamon entemen buns. I woke up this morning and I felt like they were stuck in my throat. I have continued the drops and pills, and only had the wasa bread and an apple so far (1:33 pm) Please please please tell me what the next step should be – Thank you – Julie

      There really is no corrections for cheating on protocol phase 2. You just get back on protocol. It takes about 3 full days for the detox to finish and you will get right back on track. 🙂

    I cheated last Saturday with extra veggies and halibut- I was on r1p2d11- gained 1.8- been perfect on protocol since then- it’s now Wednesday and I’m so hungry that I ate 1 extra apple (small) and 200grams extra protein- (phase 2 protein) – I drank a ton of water but still hungry- will I be ok? I’m so scared to gain the weight back- but I cheated with P2 protocol foods- advice?
