P3 – Chocolate Delight with Variations

Chocolate Delight (Almond Joy)

Chocolate Delight Variations

Classic Chocolate Delight

1 C. Coconut Oil, melted
1/2 – 1 C. cocoa (some do less to cut down on bitterness)
Stevia to taste (Flavored Stevia for variety)

Fluff cocoa with a fork to break up any chunks. Add melted Coconut Oil.
Mix in Stevia adding more or less depending on taste.

Chocolate Bites (A new twist to Chocolate Delight for P3)

4 Tbsp coconut oil
1 square unsweetened chocolate
1 Tbsp. Carob powder (a lot less bitter than cocoa)
1/4-1/2 chopped raw nuts (I used almonds and mac nuts)
1/2 tsp. organic vanilla flavoring
1/2 tsp. liquid stevia

Melt coconut oil and chocolate in a small saucepan. In a separate bowl, mix rest of ingredients and then add the melted chocolate mixture.
Place into a candy mold, or ice cube tray and pop them in the freezer.

Chocolate Delight with Nuts P3

5 Tbsp Coconut Oil, melted
2 Tbsp chopped walnuts, almonds, or Macadamia nuts
1 – 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
Stevia to taste
2 Tbsp heavy whipping cream

1 Tbsp. all natural peanut butter
stevia to taste

Peanut Butter Cups P3

Place small amount in muffin pan and freeze. Once it’s a solid place a scoop of all natural peanut butter and press down.
Top with chocolate mixture until peanut butter is covered. Freeze.
(You can prevent splitting by zapping it in the microwave long enough for the bottom layer to soften but not turn to liquid)

Mint Cups P3

5 Tbsp Coconut Oil, melted
1 – 2 tsp. cocoa powder
stevia to taste
Cream: cream cheese and peppermint stevia or mint Capella drops.

Place small amount in muffin pan and freeze. Once it’s a solid place a scoop of cream mixture  and press down with a spoon.
Top with chocolate mixture until cream mixture is covered. Freeze.
(You can prevent splitting by zapping it in the microwave long enough for the bottom layer to soften but not turn to liquid)

Almond Joy P3

5 Tbsp Coconut Oil, melted
1 – 2 tsp. cocoa powder
stevia to taste
Coconut flakes (unsweetened)

I’ve tried the almond chocolate delight. It’s a little bitter. I used the vinalla stevia. Next time I’ll use agavie too.
    How much can you eat.

Mine had no bitter taste at all.  In fact it was a little TOO chocolatley and
sweet.  I ate a couple but I felt like I overindulged because it was so
chocolatley.  Definitely yummy.  I had a +.2 gain this morning but I am sure
that will drop back off.  I sometimes have small gains like that for no reason.
I am on my last 2 days of P2.

I used Chatfield’s carob powder and it has 16 grams of sugar is that okay on P2?

  7. Bridget on February 6, 2011 at 9:17 pm

I have carob powder so do I still do 1 cup of carob powder and 1 cup of coco Oil or is that too much carob powder?

    • Anonymous on February 6, 2011 at 9:43 pm

Yep you just substitute the carob powder for the amount called for cocoa in the recipes. If you wanted you could start with 1/2 or so of the carob powder, make just one piece of chocolate delight and see what you prefer.

I am not a big fan of coconut is there anything else that I can use……

    • Shawna Culp on February 2, 2013 at 1:08 pm

I would say no, the coconut oil works to make the CD because it hardens at 70 degrees. There are some co that have less co taste. There are no other oils for phase 2 protocol except mct oil.

      • Dee on February 2, 2013 at 4:00 pm

Okay though I have another question. I have Now Organic virgin coconut oil (cold pressed and unrefined) is this okay to use? Just asking because that’s what I have here.

        Thanks,

        Dee

Hi Carol, I used the same miniature ice tray like the one you used in the video blog, how many chocolate delights do you recommend per day? Thx

I have been making the chocolate delight with no stevia and eating it with strawberries, raspberries or orange slices for dessert. It’s amazing!

I’m intrigued by these but not sure where it falls in the whole protein/fruit/veggie thing…are these just extra treats you can eat whenever and if so, how many does recipe make and how many should be allowed per day? Thanks in advance!

  16. Kitty on August 9, 2015 at 11:11 am

Hi, I’m a newbie (week 2 of P2) and really interested in making these but confused on a few things. It says 1 cup of coconut oil – is that 1 cup solid form or 1 cup melted…or maybe that is the same (forgive me I’m not much of a cook)…and that’s a huge amount of oil so how many of these does this make and how many does one eat a day?

    • admin on August 9, 2015 at 6:55 pm

melted.. and I would make 2T of co with 1T of chocolate and try it before making that big batch.. get your recipe down if you need help email me at miracleskinnydrops@gmail.com
