I found an all egg white protein with no sugars at all. I’ve been using in P2 because it’s easier to take to work than a small mound of cooked meat. It’s also pretty filling because it froths up. I add the Stevia vanilla drops and my strawberries and it’s yummy. Tried the Rob Roy Egg White shake in P3 last round and the Xylitol about tore my insides out. So far so good…I’m losing well in week 1 with the shakes. One scoop has about 120 calories and 28 grams of protein…I’m still working to make sure it’s the same equivilency as 100 grams of a meat protein.

My daughter got to the point on 500 cals that she just could not eat Chicken without getting sick. So to keep the protein and give up the chicken she would do a Whey protein shake with water instead. We only had 5 days left on the diet and at that point she didn’t have a problem losing a few more pounds. But I have no Idea how this would work early in the diet. If you decide to try it. Make sure you check for Sugars in the product.

Very Tasty. Love the recipes here.
It would be great if we could get stats on the Cals, protein & sugars to post on fitday .

I would like to use Whey Protein Powder, I am in P3. So How can I drink Whey PP. It is so difficult to get enough Protein on my diet. If I need 60% that is a lot of Protein. Can I make a shake and count the calories etc. in the shake, do I drink one each day? or should I spread them over the week?? Just very foggy about how and when to use. Thanks, joatsp

where can you get greek yogurt? I have never seen any of it around here…would there be anything else you could use instead of it or just leave it out?

    • Anonymous on January 9, 2011 at 2:38 pm

You can find Greek Yogurt just about anywhere these days, but you must be careful and watch the ingredients. Don’t purchase brands that have hidden sugars in them. I have seen these are the only ones available at Kroeger stores, but I have seen good ones at Safeway.

What type and brand of protein powder do you use? I like to say away from soy because it makes me swell. Any suggestions?
