Choose Wisely – Soy Sauce

Amino Acids are the building blocks of all our organs and tissues. They are also the building blocks from which different food proteins are constructed. Braggs Liquid Aminos

Braggs liquid aminos make it easy to add amino acids to our diet. Mix in with your favorite salad dressing or marinades. Spray on vegetables, my favorite is to add it to my cooked cabbage and cabbage soup. Add it to just about any of your favorite dishes to give it extra flavor. You can also add it to brown rice, farrow and use in your favorite stir fry recipe.

Bragg’s has a small amount of naturally occurring sodium (160 mg per serving) although some comment it’s salty and can cause water retention while on the protocol. And it can be a bit salty, so most don’t add any sea salt or other salt products when cooking when using Braggs Liquid Aminos and add to taste. You only need a little as it is packed with flavor. If it’s too salty for you, use the spray bottle version or add some water to the mix to lesson the load.

This soy sauce is a very unhealthy choice especially if you have high blood pressure, kidney disease or diabetes. Sodium in this amount will most likely increase blood pressure, which can damage blood vessels and increase the risk of developing heart disease. The Mayo Clinic

Kikkoman soy sauce contains a small amount of wheat, which is roasted and then crushed to help the fermentation process. People who are allergic to wheat or who have a gluten intolerance should avoid soy sauce. Kikkoman recently began producing a soy sauce for those allergic to wheat, however, it is made with rice.

    even soy sauce can also pose some threat, was is happening to the food industry?
