Correction Day Part 3 "Nut Day"

In this series I am discussing Alternative Correction Days for the hCG diet.  It is important to note that Dr. Simeons recommendation that the correction day be done the day you have more than a +2 pound gain during the Phase 3 stabilization period.

Nut day is a different method that has shown a successful 1-2 lb loss.  The nuts must be eaten raw and choose nuts with the highest fat content.

An ex-patient should never gain more than two pounds without immediately correcting this, but it is equally undesirable that more than two lbs. be lost after treatment, because a greater loss is always achieved at the expense of normal fat. Any normal fat that is lost is invariably regained as soon as more food is taken, and it often happens that this rebound overshoots the upper two lbs. limit. Pounds and Inches

Concentrate on staying at 2500 calories for the day.  You can mix any variation.  Try eating some every hour as this will be quite satisfying.  There is the added laxative benefit as well.

Try this recipe sweetened cinnamon pecans.

Stir fry pecans with butter and cinnamon.

Take 1 ounce of Pecans and mix with butter.  Stir Fry in the pan and sprinkle with Stevia and cinnamon.  This is a very tasty treat.

So, the cinnamon pecans would not be allowed on this correction day since they are not raw?

I’m glad you guys have more than 1 option for correction days because I did not do well with a nut day! No weight lost and today I feel horribly bloated and heavy. I weighed myself around lunch and am up 5lbs from this morning. If I weigh at noon the fluctuation is usually 2-3lbs. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

Sounds like water retention. I always recommend egg day as eggs are a natural diuretic and take off the excess water retention. Nut day is definitely not for everyone, some people however do great with nuts in every phase. I am a limited nut user myself and prefer egg day and steak and cheese day.

I have 3.5 pounds to get me back to my P3 end weight. I did an egg day yesterday and dropped 2.25 that I had gained the day before. Do I do another egg day?

I’m a little confused on this correction day and just wanted to clarify a couple things. First – do you just eat nuts all day? Nothing but a variety of nuts, totaling about 2500 calories? And second – in the opening paragraph, it says that the nuts need to be eaten raw, but then the recipes talk about cooking the nuts. By “raw”, is it referring to purchasing raw and not roasted?

Hi Cherise: Carol did the nut day and it has been awhile I know she said to buy your nuts raw and cook them yourself vs buying precooked or roasted. She had great results on her nut day but was a little stomach bloated at the end of the day. She did however have a loss the next day correcting her gain. It is an option and not my fav correction day but if you are a nut lover then you would probably do well with it.

Do you eat ONLY nuts on a Nut Correction Day?

I have raw almonds on hand, is it okay if I just use those only? Or is it best to mix it up on a nut day?

Peanuts was a trigger food for me. Do you think I will do ok if I omit the peanuts?

If you cannot do peanuts, do another ounce of walnuts or macadamia.

Do the nuts have to be raw? Are roasted okay?

So for Nuts days, just keep eating nuts until you get to the 2500 calories for that day? or for the Chicken day if you don’t eat the skin will it still work. I don’t need to do any of them so far thank God. Just checking. Not even an apple day. 🙂

yes nuts to hunger on a nut day- but only nuts..on chicken day that would be fine but you might need to add another fat with it if you leave off the skin.
