Detox Baths For Relaxation and Health

Beautiful young woman taking a bathDetox baths are a good way to start your weight loss journey. It is recommended to cleanse and detox before loading, but you can also do this throughout the protocol.

Pour 1 C. of Epsom salt into a very warm bath with 1 C. baking soda. Soak in a tub of warm/hot water – as warm as you can handle – for at least 20 minutes. Don’t shower off until the next day.

You may feel light headed, dizzy, weak, and completely drained after a detox bath, due to weak adrenals; it is a good idea to wait until bedtime so you can just go to sleep immediately afterward.

You could eat an orange slice with a little Himalayan Pink Salt during the bath if you choose. In addition, you can add a handful of Himalayan Pink Salt to your bath to increase the mineral and micronutrient of your bath, which will nourish and improve your skin.

Epsom Salt is magnesium sulfate and it works by drawing out the toxins and replenishing your body with magnesium. Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate and it will increase the pH level of the water and increase CO2 levels in the blood. The combination of this plus the relaxing effects of magnesium cause this relaxed or tired feeling like some sort of chemical exercise. Magnesium is also great for reducing muscle spasms and strains. This is why many athletes will soak in Epsom salts after working out.

Take advantage of the relaxation to get a good night’s sleep!
