Salmon is also rich in long-chain omega-3 fatty acids, which is new to reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure, and decrease risk factors for disease.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These fatty acids are also known to&nbsp;reduce inflammation, increase airflow, and protect your lungs from colds and respiratory infections.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Salmon contains the powerful antioxidant astaxanthin which is great for detoxing.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">6 ounces salmon<br>1 teaspoon garlic powder<br>1 teaspoon dried basil<br>1/2 teaspoon sea salt<br>1-2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil<br>Juice from a fresh lemon</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Stir together the garlic powder, basil, and salt in a small bowl. Drizzle lemon juice over the salmon fillets and sprinkle with seasonings.&nbsp;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Melt the EVOO in a skillet over medium heat and cook the salmon until flaky, (about 5 minutes per side)</p>
