<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Much of&nbsp;turmeric’s health benefits&nbsp;come from curcumin, its main bioactive compound. Studies show that curcumin may have the ability to&nbsp;turn “bad” white fat cells into “good” brown fat cells&nbsp;that increase your metabolism to aid weight loss. Can I get an amen?!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here are a few teas you can make to include this amazing spice. The teas are chock full of amazing health benefits.&nbsp; Not only can they&nbsp;boost your energy, strengthen your immune, and aid in&nbsp;weight loss.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Drink a cup in the morning to help improve digestion and metabolism all day long.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Turmeric Tea (Base Recipe):</strong></h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>8 oz filtered water</li><li>2 tablespoons of turmeric powder</li></ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Boil some water and let it cool for 2-3 minutes before adding turmeric. (adding add turmeric to a boiling water may reduce health benefits of turmeric) Add turmeric powder and let it sit for a couple of minutes.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Add to steeped tea of choice (green, matcha, peppermint, cinnamon, etc.) Try&nbsp;<a href="https://littlechoicesmatter.com/yerba-mate-for-weight-loss/">yerba mate for weight loss.</a></p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Morning Turmeric Tea</h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>6 cups&nbsp;water</li><li>1 large chunk fresh ginger, sliced/chopped</li><li>3 cinnamon sticks</li><li>1 teaspoon ground turmeric (or fresh)</li><li>Juice of 6&nbsp;fresh lemons</li><li>Raw honey</li></ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bring water to a boil then add ginger pieces. Let simmer for approximately 10 minutes. Add the cinnamon sticks and turmeric and simmer on low heat for about 12-15 minutes. Remove from heat, allow&nbsp;to&nbsp;cool then strain.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Add freshly squeezed lemon juice, and sweeten with raw honey if desired. Store any left over tea in a glass container in the fridge for up to a week.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Detox Turmeric Tea</strong></h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>1/2″ ginger, chopped or grated (or 1/4 tsp ground)</li><li>1/2″ turmeric (or 1/4 tsp ground)</li><li>1/2 tsp. Ceylon cinnamon</li><li>2 tbsp. Lemon juice</li><li>8 oz. water</li><li>Pure honey, if desired</li></ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Boil the ginger and turmeric with water for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and strain the water into a teacup or mug. Stir in turmeric and lemon juice and drink it right away for best results.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Works best to drink about 1 hour before breakfast. You can also drink before bedtime as this tea will help improve your sleep.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Belly-Buster Turmeric Tea</h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>8 oz filtered water, warm</li><li>1/2 teaspoon&nbsp;turmeric powder</li><li>1/2 teaspoon&nbsp;ginger powder</li><li>2-3 sprinkles of freshly cracked black pepper</li><li>A small dash of cayenne pepper</li><li>1/2 lemon, juice squeezed</li><li>1 teaspoon&nbsp;MCT oil</li><li>1 teaspoon&nbsp;pure raw honey&nbsp;</li></ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Combine the spices in the warm water to stir and mix. Squeeze in the lemon juice and stir in the raw honey to taste.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Ginger Cinnamon Turmeric Tea</h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>2 cups&nbsp;water</li><li>1 large thumb of ginger, peeled and grated</li><li>3&nbsp;tbsp&nbsp;lemon juice</li><li>1/2&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;turmeric, or fresh</li><li>1/2 tsp&nbsp;cinnamon</li><li>A&nbsp;pinch of&nbsp;black pepper</li><li>2&nbsp;tbsp&nbsp;pure honey or other sweetener such as monk fruit sweetener</li></ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Add all ingredients into pan and heat for about 4 minutes until you can see steam rising out of the pan. Whisk occasionally to help cinnamon &amp; turmeric dissolve.&nbsp;Remove from heat and strain to remove any leftover ginger/turmeric bits.</p>
