I have been testing these myself and logging the results and checking for any consequences in the three day window that follows. I am actually having success with each of these with an average of 1-2 lb loss.

The goal is to not vary. If you are doing an egg day, then only do eggs. Today we are going to discuss high fat correction day.

You will want to concentrate on healthy fats such as oil, nuts or avocado. The ratio for the high fat ACD is 80% fat/15% protein/5% net carbs. You will want to use a food calculator such as FitDay to get the right calculations. This will calculate to 70 grams of protein, 225 grams of fat and 25-35 net carbs.

On my high fat correction day I concentrated on keeping it a P2 day but added in fats such as nuts and oils and mixed my veggies. I recorded a 1.8 loss the next morning.

The alternative correction days seem to work great. I am 4 for 4 with great results. Egg Day has been my favorite. These are all similar to Dr. Simeons Steak Day in Pounds and Inches.

Faulty Dieting- Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches

Few patients will take one’s word for it that the slightest deviation from the diet has disastrous results as far as the weight is concerned. This extreme sensitivity has the advantage that the smallest error is immediately detectable at the daily weighing but most patients have to make the experience before they will believe it…

Persons in high official positions such as embassy personnel, politicians, senior executives, etc., who are obliged to attend social functions to which they cannot bring their meager meal must be told beforehand that an official dinner will cost them the loss of about three days treatment, however careful they are and in spite of a friendly and would-be cooperative host. We generally advise them to avoid all around embarrassment, the almost inevitable turn of conversation to their weight problem and the outpouring of lay counsel from their table partners by not letting it be known that they are under treatment. They should take dainty servings of everything, bide what they can under the cutlery and book the gain which may take three days to get rid of as one of the sacrifices which their profession entails. Allowing three days for their correction, such incidents do not jeopardize the treatment, provided they do not occur all too frequently in which case treatment should be postponed to a socially more peaceful season.

One of the questions we receive on a regular basis is why am I stalled or not losing? Having successfully completed the protocol I can assure you do not give up. We all lose weight at different rates and levels, and one of the things I have learned is it so much more than about the scale. There are several things happening while going through this process. You will begin to feel differently about your food choices, about your self image and most importantly there are changes going on psychologically that will allow you to maintain and live a healthy lifestyle without experiencing the yo-yo affect of most diets. Understanding the big picture of this diet is so important as it is life changing. Always remember it is Pounds and Inches and the inches usually out number the pounds. Your body is transforming into a new you and this takes time and patience. The end result is a healthier happier you. Below is a section from “Pounds and Inches” supporting the clumping factor many of us experience.

Fluctuations in weight loss

After the fourth or fifth day of dieting the daily loss of weight begins to decrease to one pound or somewhat less per clay, and there is a smaller urinary output. Men often continue to lose regularly at that rate, but women are more irregular in spite of faultless dieting. There may be no drop at all for two or three days and then a sudden loss which reestablishes the normal average. These fluctuations are entirely due to variations in the retention and elimination of water, which are more marked in women than in men.

…Patients who have previously regularly used diuretics as a method of reducing lose fat during the first two or three weeks of treatment which shows in their measurements, but the scale may show little or no loss because they are replacing the normal water content of their body which has been dehydrated. Diuretics should never be used...
