Tangy Coleslaw Magic P3

Tangy Coleslaw

This recipe was highly recommended from a friend.  I have been eating this for 3 days and have lost 3 lbs.  I am on p4 so I thought I would adjust the original to what worked for me and keep both recipes in the recipe blog.  I am calling this the little magic potion and I really attribute that to the combination of the apple cider vinegar and cabbage combo.  All our recipes are Dr. Simeons protocol friendly and adjusted to be p2-p4 compliant.

I have been making this in bulk for the whole family so my quantities are on the larger picnic side.  The original can be found by clicking here
1 head of green cabbage
1 head of red cabbage
1 whole red apple sliced
1 onion diced (optional if you like onion)
1 bell pepper or pepper of your choice
1/2 C. MCT oil ( I used Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
8 package stevia powder ( more or less depends on your taste)
1/2 C. Apple cider vinegar ( more or less depends on your taste)
5 tsp (Balsalmic Vinegar)
garlic powder
onion powder
salt
pepper
any other spices you desire
I diced the cabbage and put in a big bowl.  Mix all of the above together. Pour over raw cabbage.  Toss the mixture around and then chill in the fridge.
Add a tart apple, strawberries or oranges.  Toss lightly .
* note the vinegar will not mix well with the oil, shake if needed or stir before using.
I tested it before I used to to ensure the flavor was good for my liking.

This looks yummy…but, I am not allowed oil on my P2. I will have to wait until I am allowed oil.

The original recipe is listed there or you can use search which is
completely P2 compliant. I just added the few things for my phase. Here is
the link to the P2 with MCT oil http://miracleskinnydrops.com/2010/05/1082/

Shawna, This is very cool! Thanks for getting the recipe made larger.. I also had a thought about MCT and ACV.. maybe the combo is good for weight loss along with the cabbage..

does balsamic vinegar have sugar content?

You will need to check your labels.. Regular store brand may have some sugar
but if you check at whole foods or somewhere equivalent you will find sugar
free products, just look for hidden sugars on your labels.. I also always
check the diabetic isles at the grocery store for things like broth etc.

I make a similar dressing for all of my salads. The only ingredient not here is fresh squeezed citrus of choice!
