Once you make this recipe, you’ll never waste money on the store-bought stuff again. This recipe is simple, delicious, saves money AND you are able to control the ingredients.
Have you ever looked at the ingredients in Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup? (See below) I’m not surprised that the main ingredient is High Fructose Corn Syrup followed by corn syrup. These syrups have been associated with high blood pressure, depression, fatigue, hyperactivity, and periodontal decay. They are likely from a GMO source. This is not something I want to consume or give to my family.
Use this chocolate syrup as a substitute any time you would reach for that brown squirt bottle or add it in any time you need a little extra chocolatey goodness!
A little dab will also help satisfy those chocolate cravings!
Melt the ghee, pasture-raised butter, or unrefined virgin coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat. Once melted, add raw honey and mix well.
Turn off the heat, and add the raw cacao powder, vanilla and sea salt.
***NOTE: You can adjust the consistency by adding water to thin it out or Arrowroot Powder to thicken it up.
You can also pour this into a candy mold and freeze to enjoy little chocolate bites or work into your favorite recipes.
