I dont have the recipe but my favorite christmas cookie is one that we made in the fourth grade. I know you divide the dough andput red food color in half. Then you roll the dough anto strps I guess and twist together and then shape into a candy cane. I’m not sure if it was eating the cookie I enjoyed so much or making them as a kid.
In fourth grade we made candy cane cookies out of white and red dough twisted together and shaped into candy canes. I don’t know if it was eating the cookie or making it as a child that I like so much. Unfortunatley I don’t have a recipe…that was a really long time ago. Hahah

Molasses Crinkle cookies. They are like eating a little piece of heaven. I do not have the recipe with me today but they are wonderful, sweet and spicy cookies. The year that my husband and I got married and moved into our first home. My mom came over right before Christmas and we spent the afternoon making these cookies.
My favorite Christmas dessert when I was little was you take a batch of sugar cookie dough, roll it out onto a round stoneware “pan”, bake it, take it out, top with white chocolate chips, let sit and get melty, spread then top w/ chopped candy cakes and nuts. Seriously good stuff. Brings back being in the kitchen with mom and the quality time spent together. Oh, and the taste was amazing as well. lol
My favorite dessert at Christmas is Trifle! It will be great fun creating a lovely P3 creation for next Christmas. I already have some ideas for the cake transformation. I’ll make a new coconut custard, of course the fruit and flavoured whipping creme! I’ve actually begun my research to convert other favorites too! Shortbread…I have lovely molds that make beautiful gifts, and a Santa one that you can paint light rouge cheeks, brighter lips, eyes and hat. The krinkle cookies will be tricky to convert but I’m looking into Coconut creme and agave ideas. I love family baking traditons!!! So reworked they must be to this lifesaving new way of eating!
Congratulations Mary you are the winner! Email your address and we will get it sent to you. Merry Christmas
Just the basic cut-out Christmas cookies. Loved to help my mom in the kitchen, cutting and frosting the cookies. Don’t have the recipe….can’t seem to get the dough right. Nothing like mom’s baking…I just don’t seem to have that gene…I’m good at the eating part though.
Back in the 60’s, Grandma would always buy ice cream snoballs. Vanilla ice cream covered with coconut. So simple but soooo wintry! She even put candles on the top and lit them! Memories!

Every year my younger brother and I put on our Christmas Hats, and make Peanut Butter & Chocolate Kiss cookies – the cookie with the kiss pressed in the middle. To me PB & Chocolate make the PERFECT MARRIAGE (don’t tell my husband!)… My brother would mix the pb dough, and I was in charge of unwrapping the chocolate kisses – pop 2 in my mouth, 1 for the cookie, pop 3 in my mount, 1 for the cookie… . Bad habits are hard to break at xmas! – especially after his festive egg nog buzz kicks in! 🙂
To pick just one is so hard. Although this year I will be trying to stay away from most of the goodies. I love the peanut butter blossoms. I agree with Melanie below, peanut butter and chocolate are a perfect marriage!

My favorite dessert at Christmas (before MSD) was fudge. My mother would ask me to make fudge for all her co-workers, so I usually ended up making 50-60 pounds of fuges EACH Christmas for her! She gave everyone a one pound tin! She would say people started asking if the fudge was coming in October – lol. Mom passed away in 2009, I haven’t made any fudge since – my daughter said this year I should make 1 batch in her memory. I think it would make her happy – I’d, of course, give it away to my co-workers this year (after eating one piece for mom!) It’s a simple recipe – off the Kraft Marshmallow Cream jar…the secret is in sturring until you think you’re arm will fall off! You’ll have the smoothest fudge on the planet!

I love thos white melt-in-your-mouth ball cookies coated in powdered sugar. I think they are called snowballs or mexican wedding cookies. Yum. I had them a few times when I was little and they were amazing. I have never found a recipe quite like what I remember for them.
Drop sand tarts…from a great aunt nobody ever liked….and when she made these, they were awful. However, when she gave me the recipe and I made them, they were amazing….and a favorite among my family. Kinda sad and funny all wrapped up into one. CAUTION: Not for the person concerned with staying thin….

My favorite Christmas dessert is Million Dollar Pie. My Meme made it every year and she passed away a few months ago, so I’ll be making it this year! I will think of her and all the wonderful memories I made with her as I make it each year! 🙂
Butter Spritz cookies are my all time favorite holiday cookies! My
grandma always made a bunch every Christmas and I loved the ones shaped
like wreaths with red hots for berries.
