If you were to see me in the grocery store today you’d see I become somewhat of a Sherlock Holmes. Okay, no pipe and no magnifying glasses (yet) but I have become a “Label Detective” for sure. My lasted investigation: Carrageenan. Although it’s not as bad as some ingredients I cringe at (ie. fructose or maltodextrin) I wanted to research it as I heard it has a harmful effect on the digestive system. It is a food additive used for thickening and increases the shelf life. Food additives all together scare me. So, why take the chance? Not only food additives, but how they process the food and food additives. Eat whole and natural foods! I have never felt better in my life and I believe it’s because I’ve become a label detective!
