did you use xylitol during the diet? i use it but didn’t until maintenance. i agree—stevia is awful stuff. i also love Madhava Agave nectar.
Some stevias don’t have that bitter aftertaste and taste a lot better.
which stevia are you referring to that don’t leave an awful after taste
I love the flavored stevia. If you use the powdered, it does have a bit to it. But the liquid stevia isn’t like that. It’s the best in yogurt, flax seed muffins, and anywhere i want to sweeten up something.
I use Truvia in P3. It is 97% stevia ad 3% erythritol. I don’t use it alot, but do put a little in my coffee and on fruit with whipping cream poured over. YUM!
Much to my horror…I found that the bulk powdered Stevia I’ve been using has maltodextrin in it! Wondering if that’s been making my appetite a little crazy? I found a sweetener called Erythritol at Whole Foods today…I googled it and it had positive results…has anyone else ever tried it?
It can cause diarrhea so use in moderation. You can also use Sweetleaf
Stevia and NOW brand liquid..
I love Stevia Glycerite by NOW it is the best tasting stevia and I use it in all my teas; no bitterness. The English Toffee by SweetLeaf is also another favorite. It’s great in cottage cheese.
NOW stevia glycerite liquid
I use the NuNaturals Clear Stevia Liquid and it doesn’t contain any maltodextrin and it doesn’t have a bitter aftertaste. I really like it in my tea/coffee.
[…] Suggestions: Cocoa and/or Carob Powder Stevia or one from Carol’s approved sweetener list or two or more Creams- some suggestions have been homemade whip cream, half and half, coconut or […]
Can I use Agave? I dont like any of the artificial sweetners, but I use agave in my coffee in the morning.
not on p2 or p3 the first 21 days but after that you can add it back in
